I discovered my passion for public speaking at a young age. I was just seven when I did my first presentation in front of my class at school – a talk on fish and sharks. I loved the buzz it gave me and the way I was able to engage the audience.
My next taste of public speaking was when I was 13. I had recently moved to the UK from Iran, and it made the local news when I won my age category in a Cumbrian dialect speaking competition.
I went on to work in TV, as a presenter and interviewer. However the passion for speaking in front of a live audience has never left me and I’m always delighted to present, host or speak at events.
